Notice: To be posted on the Court''s website at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 26, 2003, decisions in Hitzig et al. v. Her Majesty the Queen, Parker v. Her Majesty the Queen, Parker et al. v. Her Majesty the Queen, R. v. Turmel, and R. v. J.P.

On July 29, 30 and 31, a panel of the Court of Appeal for Ontario, composed of Justices Doherty, Goudge and Simmons, heard these seven appeals from decisions of judges of the Superior Court of Justice, in relation to the constitutional validity of the Government of Canada's scheme for establishing medical exemptions from the prohibition on the possession, and in some cases, production, of marihuana contained in the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. The panel will release its judgments in these appeals on Friday, September 26, 2003.
