A Vancouver Councillor calls Sunday's rally of about a thousand people at the Art Gallery in favor of marijuana legalization "disturbing and unacceptable."

The NPA's Kim Capri says the event flies in the face of what Council is doing, trying to deal with the open drug market, "We want our public spaces to feel safe and comfortable and inviting for everyone and clearly that's not being able to happen here."

She also says she'll be asking the Police Department why it didn't have a visible presence at the event.
