Canadian Naturopathic Association reply: supports medicinal cannabis.

Dear Eric,

Your request for a CNA position on Cannabis was discussed at our recent board meeting.
As I advised in my previous e-mail, Cannabis is a controlled substance under the Food and Drug Act and not currently available to Naturopathic Doctors.

While the CNA supports the use of Cannabis medicinally, Naturopathic Doctors do not wish to dispense it from their offices.

We would support a similar set-up to the current situation in B.C. where the Compassion Club recognizes a recommendation/referral from an ND as they would one from an MD.
