The Centre for Forensic Sciences is now accepting drug samples gathered by police, and will now test the samples at its facility.

The provincially-run centre initially refused to accept the samples, citing a perceived influx after new legislation gave police authority to collect the samples from suspected drug impaired drivers.

The centre sent an e-mail to police that they would begin accepting samples immediately.
