Marijuana Party seeks election candidates
By: Times Review Staff, Revelstroke Times Review (CN BC), 02-23-05

The BC Marijuana Party is seeking nominees willing to stand for election in the May 17 general election.

A statement from Kirk Tousaw, the party's campaign manager, said the party ran 79 candidates in the 2001 election and while none were elected it did garner three per cent of the vote.

"This year the BCMP is taking aim at the Liberal government and top prohibitionist Rich Coleman (the provincial solicitor general)."

Anyone interested in running for the Marijuana Party should contact Tousaw at (604) 684-7076.
