By: The Canadian Press, The Recorder & Times (CN ON), 10-23-07

CLEARWATER, B.C. - RCMP in Clearwater, B.C., have put the brakes on a mobile grow-op.

Police say a traffic services member discovered the plantation on wheels while conducting a road check in the Southern Interior town late Sunday night.

The officer searched a rental cube van under the Motor Vehicle Act to determine if the vehicle's load was secure.

Inside, he found 324 marijuana plants in various stages of growth and almost two kilograms of pot bud in the vehicle, along with associated growing equipment.

Two B.C. men are now facing charges of production of a controlled substance and possession for the purpose of trafficking.
