A 71-year-old Inwood area woman is facing marijuana possession charges after a police search and seizure on her property on Wednesday.

RCMP say they found evidence suggesting the residential property had recently been used for the cultivation and processing of several hundred marijuana plants.

They seized about 100 grams of marijuana in the search, conducted by the force's Winnipeg drug section and the Teulon detachment. The woman who owns and lives on the property was arrested and later released from custody with a promise to appear in court in Winnipeg on Nov. 13.
